My paintings are more than just strokes of the brush, but a form of mental tapas met by the grace of devotion. I am a self-taught artist without any formal training or mentoring. Drawing and painting started at the age of 4 where by our inherent Hindu culture was explored through this medium. I have maintained and nurtured my passion in art along while pursing a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Durban University of Technology, South Africa. Along with presenting my paintings national TV segments, I have also been a part of public cultural exhibits over the years and have artworks received and respected internationally. Inspiration is multifaceted in which rays shine and form the ultimate light onto a canvas using colours of oil as a way of capturing and creating bhaav. Each deity has been portrayed in the potent imagery as per our sacred Hindu scripture all - encompassing the energy of beauty, symbolism, transformation and strength.
